Post-Craniectomy Follow-Up
Follow-up of skull protection and the healing process after a craniectomy (surgical removal of part of the skull).
Post-Craniectomy Follow-Up
A craniectomy is the surgical removal of part of the skull for various neurological reasons. After this procedure, the brain tissue in the operated area needs special protection during the period until the bone is replaced (cranioplasty).
Protective Helmet
After a craniectomy, the brain tissue is safeguarded with a specially designed protective helmet. The helmet is measured with 3D scanning and manufactured to fit the patient's anatomy.
Evaluation
The process is carried out in coordination with the pediatric neurosurgery team. For each patient, a protection plan is created individually based on clinical assessment.
